Rock 'N' RollRock 'N' Roll spans from 1968 to 1989 written by Tom Stoppard the play covers the double perspective in the Eastern Bloc of Czechoslovakia, where Rock 'N' Roll bands become to symbolise resistance to the communist regime, also set in Cambridge showing the verities of love and death and how they have come to edit the lives of three generations of the family of the Marxist professor, who unrepentantly continues to believe in the Soviet ideal.
Although the play with a number of controversial matters, it has been said that above all its themes it greatly represents the pegan spirit embodied by Rock 'N' Roll.

Stoppard has touched on these controversial matters many times before in his writing, and in come cases has created masterpieces, this play is no exception. The play represents a great contrast between two very different worlds, the Czech freedom fighters and the Marxists of Cambridge. This excellent betrayal of the two is clearly and very cleverly laid out for the audience.
