It is originally a play written by Alan Bennett, and is currently being directed by Nicholas Hytner. The play was a sell out when it first opened at the National Theatre.
The play is the pursuit of a a group of young boys from Sheffield in the 1980 to find a place at the excellent Oxbridge entrance exams while following their love of sport and sex. Under the control of the teachers in the school, the mischievous English teacher and a principle obsessed with results.
This is a controversal play with elements of homosexuality between a teacher and the boys, but is relaid in a informative manor.
