Evita is a huge classic within the world of theatre. It is one of the most heart felt as well as emotional tales told through a musical, which was also developed into a film after its huge success in the theatre.
Evita brings back to life the dynamic and extravagant character of Eva Peron. The show claims to “Bring colour, dance and a new Argentina to London Audiences”. Playing at the Adelphi theatre in London's West End, it has received stunning reviews such as “An Absolutely wonderful show”, “outstanding!”, and “pure genius”, to describe only a few of the glowing reviews it rightfully received.
Evita is the tale if Eva Peron, who was the most famous wife of Juan Peron. Her childhood was unremarkable: she was the youngest of five illegitimate children, her parents had never married. She and her family were forbidden to attend her father's funeral by his legitimate family. This planted the seed of hatred for the middle class.
She later on became the most powerful Latin American woman and, mainly due to her background and her work for the poor, she was adored by her people. This is an emotional yet exciting production which has been running in the West End and around the world for many years. Excellent reviews followed the first showing of this vibrant and colourful production by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
