Evita is the tale of Eva Peron, who was the most famous wife of Juna Peron. Her childhood was unremarkable: she was the youngest of five illegitimate children. She became the most powerful Latin American woman and, mainly due to her background and her work for the poor, she was adored by her people. This is an emotional yet exciting production which has been running in the West End and around the world for many years. The classical Les Miserables has been showing for many years is the West End. Written by Victor Hugo back in 1866, it was made into a musical by the composer Claude- Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublin, and opened in Paris 1980. This musical has kept up with the incredible name the book created. It is London's longest running musical, with over 8500 performances ranging through 21 years on a London stage. With over 54 million people having seen it and its having played in 249 cities across the world, it is no wonder this performance has received reviews such as “rippingly gripping and full of wonder”, and “one of the best musicals of all time”.
